The village of Skala MISTEGNA is 17 km from the city of Mytilene.
In medieval times there were huge oak trees, which kept the village completely out of sight and that is why its original name was MYSTIKA (Mystika).
Mistegna seems to be a later, ruined version of this original name. A point of interest is the church of Panagia built in 1836.
A special feature of this area is the Red Stone of Mistegna – a building material widely used throughout the island.
The beach of SKALA MISTEGNA is located at the mouth of a horseshoe-shaped bay facing Asia Minor. The present-day village is a classification with olive groves.
The area is discreetly surrounded by beautiful small hotels and rooms, the beach is ideal for swimming.
You will enjoy the delicious seafood served in the traditional restaurants, which almost touch the sea.
Just a few meters from the house there is a very modern and organized playground with a playground, basketball court, beach volleyball court and very spacious parking spaces as well as greenery, so that children can enjoy playing safely.
In the same area there are wonderful fish taverns with fresh Aegean fish as well as a grill restaurant with souvlaki and grilled meats of the hour.
